Monica Aguiar – Corporate Recruiter

1.) Tell us a little about the responsibilities of your position.

As the corporate HRBP I support the Support, Transportation, and Automation teams with any and all related Human Resources matters. I also help with compliance and investigations for the network.

2.) What do you enjoy most about your job?

What I enjoy most about my job is the people I get to work with every day. I truly consider my team family.

3.) Did you always want to work in this kind of role? What led you to be here?

I was previously working in sales out of college at an HRIS solutions provider. In that role, I met with CPOs, HR VPs, HR Directors, etc and just grew passionate about the work that they did. I eventually left sales and went back into recruiting and decided to go back to school to achieve my master’s degree in Human Resources. I just recently graduated from the program in December 2022.

4.) What is it like working for ShipMonk?

Working for ShipMonk is fun and challenging. Every day is different, which I love because no day is ever the same as the one before.

5.) What is a favorite quote from an awesome woman you admire?

“Just keep swimming.” – Dory, Finding Nemo

6.) If you could give advice to “you” 10 years ago, what would it be?

Keep working hard and you’ll end up exactly where you want to be.

7.) Outside of work, where else do you dedicate your time and passion?

I love working out, riding bikes and/or rollerblading, and going to the beach.

Victoria Vincent – Product Manager

1.) Tell us a little about the responsibilities of your position.

As a Product Manager, I am responsible for the development and deployment of products used across our organization. I work closely with Support, Operations, and Technical Product Managers to define feature requirements and ensure successful launches across all sites.

2.) What do you enjoy most about your job?

What I enjoy most about my job is the ability to create solutions to improve both internal and external user experience.

3.) Did you always want to work in this kind of role? What led you to be here?

Post graduation, I joined a company as an operations analyst where I improved vendor onboarding processes and worked collaboratively with many stakeholders on the launch of a vendor platform. During this time, I developed an interest in product and looked to expand my knowledge by joining a new organization.

4.) What is it like working for ShipMonk?

Working for ShipMonk is very exciting and challenging at times. I am steadily learning new things every day. It’s awesome to be part of such a fast-growing and fun company!

5.) What is a favorite quote from an awesome woman you admire?

6.) If you could give advice to “you” 10 years ago, what would it be?

If I could give advise to myself 10 years ago, I would tell myself to take chances and stop always worrying about what others think.

7.) Outside of work, where else do you dedicate your time and passion?

Outside of work, I love to travel. My all-time favorite place to go is the Bahamas where you will catch me spearfishing or exploring the islands. I also love playing volleyball, rollerblading, and checking out local farmers markets.
